OF PEOPLE WHO SAW OR TRIED: Only meREMARKS: After praying maghrib in Masjid Toronto in downtown Toronto, I have walked about an hour in a north-westerly direction through city streets to pray Isha (& Taraweeh) at the Dawah Centre near Bloor & Dufferin Streets. During the length of my walk, I made continual efforts to look for the new moon. I did not see the moon.
- Not Seen: Syed Shahid Rashid (MCW member) from Mississauga Ontario reported: On Friday June 27, I alongwith 2 members from my Masjid board, as well as members of Crescent Committee went on the roof top of Khadija Centre in Mississauga. Moonset was at 9:04PM and Sunset at 9:08 local times. We tried from 9PM until about 9:15PM. We were not able to sight the moon. There were also some electrical wires in the way and some cloud covering as well. No moonsighting by any person in the group. Pic attached.

Also I did not get any report about sighting the crersent. So some China Musilims have begun first day of Ramadan on June 28 2014 (Calculated by lunar Calendar of China). Most China Muslims will begin first day of Ramadan on June 29 2014 (after completing 30).
- Dominican Republic:
- Not Seen: Ahmad Abdul Haqq (MCW member) from Santo Domingo reported: The crescent moon (Hilal) for the month of Ramadan was not seen in the Dominican Republic. Brothers from the cities of the Higüey and Santo Domingo all reportes 0 visibility due to overcasts. We therefore complete 30 days of Sha'bân. The 1st day of Ramadan will be on Sunday 29th June 2014, insha'Allâh.

- Seen: Mr. Bilal Brown from Hadramawt reported: Seems like Yemen Authorities are claiming that on Friday, June 27, the moon has been sighted in the remote district of Al-Hudaydah, as reported in a Web site.Comment by Moonsighting.com: Sunset in Hodeidah was at 6:33 pm, while moonset was at 6:36 pm; So, in three minutes the moon was seen. It seems rediculous.
Sighting possibilty is only by telescope in South America. With naked eye moon can be seen in Polynesian Islands in Pacific ocean if perfect atmospheric condition are there. Therefore, we do not expect any naked eye sighting reports from anywhere.
