பொது பல சேனாவுக்கு அமெரிக்காவிலும் எதிர்ப்பு !

அமெரிக்கா சென்றிருக்கும் பொது பல சேனா உறுப்பினர்கள் கலிபோர்னியாவில் அமைந்திருக்கும் பெளத்த விஹாரையில் தங்கியிருப்பதில் அதிருப்தியடைந்திருக்கும் விஹாரை நிர்வாகம் தமது நிலைப்பாட்டை விளக்கி அறிக்கையொன்றை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

இதனடிப்படையில் குறிப்பிட்ட விஹாரையில் அவர்களுக்கு தங்கும் அனுமதி வழங்கப்பட்டிருக்கவில்லையென்றும், குறிப்பிட்ட தேரர் ஒருவரே இந்த ஏற்பாடுகளைச் செய்திருக்கிறார் என்றும், விஹாரையில் பொது பல சேனா உறுப்பினர்கள் தங்குவதை நிர்வாகம் விரும்பவில்லை என்றும் அவர்களை வெளியேற்றும் படியும், அவர்களை வைத்து பூஜைகள் எதையும் ஏற்பாடு செய்ய வேண்டாம் எனவும் கேட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ளதாக அறிவித்துள்ளதாக பொது பல சேனாவுக்கு எதிரான பெளத்தர்கள் அமைப்பு தகவல் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

அறிக்கை விபரம் :

The Management Committee of the Anaheim Buddhist temple in California had this to say to one of its priests for hosting the BBS:

The Management Committee of the Anaheim temple would like to issue the following statement regarding the visit of the Bodu Bala Sena:

We are deeply disturbed and disappointed by the actions taken by Ven. Sumana in allowing the “Bodu Bala Sena” representatives to stay at the Anaheim temple, organizing a ‘Buddhanussathi Pooja’ and a get-together (please see attached flyer).

This was organized with the consent of the Ven. Sumana by two individuals without consulting the Management Committee of the temple and we had no prior knowledge of this visit until last Thursday. Since then, the Management Committee has met and spoken to Ven. Sumana requesting not to provide accommodation to the representatives of this group and not to organize a bodhi pooja or a meeting with them.

It is our position that Sri Ratana Viharaya should not support “Bodu Bala Sena” which advocates against the rights of minorities in Sri Lanka and resorts to violence, mob action and intimidation to advance their cause. The temple premises should not be used as a platform to promote hatred and/or to promote an extremist group like “Bodu Bala Sena”.

Therefore, the Management Committee requests our devotees not to participate in any of these activities and not to support this extremist group now or in the future.
